Find Hillsborough Released Inmate Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Hillsborough County inmate is a booking photograph tied to an arrest record, not proof of a final case outcome. The first official source is the sheriff's arrest inquiry while the released record remains visible. Older Hillsborough County booking photos can be requested from HCSO, while a state prison photograph belongs in the Florida corrections release system. Certain official registries and selected press releases form narrower channels. No gallery is hosted here. Each image must be matched to the correct person, booking, agency, and date.

Hillsborough Released Booking Photos

HCSO describes booking photographs as part of its public arrest information. The image documents how a person appeared during a specific booking. It does not say whether the State Attorney filed charges, whether a court dismissed a count, or whether a conviction followed. HCSO itself directs readers to the Hillsborough Clerk for the final disposition.

Release does not erase an accurate booking image. HCSO says a released person's public Arrest Inquiry listing remains available for 90 days. After that web period, the agency record may still be requested. A sealing or expunction order can restrict public access when Florida law applies, but the order and each custodian's response must be verified.

Booking photograph
The image associated with one arrest and jail intake.
Disposition
The court's outcome, which is not established by the photograph.
Sealing
Restricted public access under applicable law or court order.
Expunction
Removal from public records under the governing statutory process.

Hillsborough Mugshot Source Channels

Choose the channel by custody type and age of the record. An HCSO image and an FDC offender photograph may depict the same person at different times, but they are not interchangeable. VINELink photo availability varies. Secondary publishers may retain old or incorrect data and should never outrank an official record.

The table is a discovery map. Identity should be checked through name, birth date where public, booking number, dates, and agency rather than by visual similarity alone.

HCSO Released Mugshots Online

The HCSO Arrest Inquiry is the first source for a recent Hillsborough County booking photograph. Search by last name and first name, add birth date or booking number when known, and leave Current Inmates Only unchecked. A release-date search can produce a calendar-day set. The Hillsborough 24-hour release procedure explains how to cross midnight without pretending the county has a rolling feed.

No official HCSO inmate or recent-release mobile app was found. The official HCSO Tip app handles tips, alerts, and social content. It is not an inmate lookup. The mobile browser version of Arrest Inquiry is the official electronic channel, so no app-only photograph should be promised.

HCSO's selective press release archive can include images in notable cases, and some releases state that a current booking photo is available on request. It is not a complete mugshot archive.

Note: An HCSO photo identifies a booking; HOVER is the lasting court source for the related case outcome.

Request Hillsborough Booking Photographs

Use the HCSO records portal when the 90-day public entry has expired or a copy is needed. The Records Section is at the Freddie Solomon Annex, 1900 E. 9th Avenue, Tampa, and can be reached at 813-247-0960 or rec_request@hcso.tampa.fl.us.

  1. Identify the full name and aliases, birth date if known, booking number, and approximate booking and release dates.
  2. Ask for the nonexempt booking record and the associated booking photograph. Name the exact booking to avoid an overly broad search.
  3. Request electronic delivery and ask for an estimate before authorizing extensive work.
  4. Track the request in the portal and answer a custodian's reasonable clarification promptly.
  5. Review the image against the booking identifier and dates when it arrives.

HCSO publishes no universal flat photo price. Florida section 119.07 provides the general inspection, copying, and fee framework, including possible special-service charges for extensive work. The research found no fixed HCSO response-day promise. The agency must respond in good faith and may redact exempt data.

The successful manifest capture comes from the official HCSO request portal.

The portal is the official fallback when the released booking image is no longer on the public inquiry screen.

Hillsborough Mugshots Beyond HCSO

The FDC Inmate Release search can display an offender photograph for a person released or scheduled for release from state prison. It does not replace the Hillsborough arrest booking image. An official released-person example in the research showed a photograph, past release date, and incarceration history.

FDLE's sexual-offender and predator search and Career Offender Registry can retain photographs for limited statutory groups. Those registries are not lists of all released people. VINELink may show a photo supplied by a contributor, but availability varies and status/notification is its primary role.

Reputable local news can preserve a lawfully published image, while third-party archives may copy older jail data. Both are secondary. The photo may be stale, tied to a different booking, or paired with an incomplete case description. No commercial mugshot publisher or pay-to-remove service is linked or endorsed.

When an image appears outside an official source, trace it back before relying on the caption. Compare the HCSO or FDC identifier, arrest or custody date, and the agency that created it. A news story may use an older image for context. A third-party page may fail to reflect sealing, correction, or the final disposition. The official record should remain the baseline.

Hillsborough Mugshot Removal Paths

Use the path that fits the problem. A factual HCSO error follows the sheriff's correction process. A court sealing or expunction matter begins with the FDLE eligibility process and the Hillsborough Clerk. A news error goes to the publisher's editorial correction route. A covered commercial booking-photo publisher is governed by Florida's separate law.

Section 901.43 bars a covered commercial booking-photo publisher from soliciting or accepting payment to remove a photograph. A subject or representative can use the statute's registered-mail process with identification and exact photo identification. A covered publisher generally must remove it without charge within ten calendar days and may not republish it. Scope matters, and the statute is not a universal erasure rule for government archives or ordinary news.

Public-record and FCRA limit: This privately operated resource is not a consumer reporting agency, and mugshot information cannot be used for any FCRA-covered purpose.

Correct Hillsborough Booking Photo Records

HCSO's factual-error form covers misspellings, transposed characters or numbers, and wrong dates. It calls for government photo identification and a printed charge report with the error marked, mailed to the Captain of Intake Operations Bureau at 1201 N. Orient Road, Tampa, FL 33619. The form says to allow six weeks and expect a response by U.S. mail.

That route cannot decide guilt or rewrite a court disposition. Identity-theft claims use an in-person HCSO process with fingerprint verification. Case outcomes belong with the Clerk. Keeping those channels separate helps the agency address the actual record problem.

Hillsborough Expunction and Mugshots

The Hillsborough Clerk's sealing and expungement process begins with an FDLE Certificate of Eligibility and requires the local petition package, a certified disposition, and resolution of listed costs. Eligibility is narrow under sections 943.0584, 943.0585, and 943.059.

The Clerk warns that action on its public file does not automatically remove copies held by other databases. Send the signed order to each lawful custodian and ask what action applies to that record. Release alone never guarantees that a booking photograph disappears.

Keep proof of each request and response. A source may need the exact URL, booking number, image, and signed order to locate the correct item.

Note: Confirm removal with each source because HCSO, the Clerk, FDC, registries, and publishers maintain different records.
